Grey Day at the Pier is inspired by a distant memory of fishing from a pier during the summer months. I can’t quite remember exactly when it was, but I remember the feeling of the day - grey, warm and still, like so many Irish summer days.

I remember having a line full of fish and the quiet pride I felt as I reeled them in, one by one. It’s a hazy memory, but one that has stayed with me.
